The Agrifood Clust-ER focuses its action on strategic lines of research and innovation enabled through 4 working groups, or Value Chains, representative of the Emilia-Romagna agrifood system:
Sustainable & precision farming to strengthen the economic and environmental sustainability of regional productions
Integrity and nutritional quality, to promote food safety, quality, authenticity and traceability evaluating their role for human health
Processes, systems, equipment and packaging, to improve manufacturing processes and the quality of food and increase sustainability and competitiveness
Valorisation of agrifood by-products and waste to improve the sustainability – both economic and environmental – of the food production processes
